Half term and summer holidays can be daunting... at autism explorers we are here to help make them easier! Get ready for New experiences with our Adventure Awaits holiday project!
We know that school breaks can feel a little overwhelming for some families — routines change, activities can be noisy or inaccessible, and finding safe, inclusive spaces isn’t always easy. That’s why Adventure Awaits has been designed specifically for SEN children and families, so everyone can enjoy a holiday that’s full of fun and feels comfortable for every explorer who joins us.
What’s Happening?
Over the summer, we’ll be hosting a variety of sensory-friendly, autism-informed activities. You can expect:
- Creative crafts – from themed art tables to take-home keepsakes.
- Sensory play stations – safe, engaging textures and materials to explore.
- Outdoor adventures – gentle games and open-air fun to suit all abilities.
- Social spaces – a welcoming environment for parents and carers to connect while the children play.
- Trips and events- inclusive and affordable experiences just for you!
Every session will be child-led where possible, with our team supporting each explorer in a way that works for them. We don’t use demands or pressure — curiosity leads and learning follows.
